Welcome to the new Shelter website!

As with the previous site, we’ve sought through this digital medium to provide an avenue for promoting awareness of The Shelter as a safe haven for victims of abuse as well as offering useful information on matters related to domestic violence. Our discovery that many women only seek help long after their initial domestic violence experience, highlights the importance of getting information out to victims.

The mission of The Shelter to support victims in regaining a life free from abuse. The goal of this website therefore is to be a source of as much useful information and advice to victims as possible to help them through their own situations. We have included many useful links ranging from recognising the signs and conditions for domestic violence through to understanding how to safely relocate from an abusive relationship.

Feedback is welcomed as we seek to ensure the site remains a valuable source of information for victims.
